I got my books yesterday and the one that excites me most is “One Yard Wonders”….it’s filled with simple sewing projects. I’m currently teaching myself to sew-on my mom’s OLLLLD perfectly functioning sewing machine-so I’m looking forward to the challenge.

I traveled a lot during the past week (lots of down time), and for some reason I was thinking about why pincushions are shaped like tomatoes, and what’s the deal with the little berry-tomato needle-sharpener dealey? (like I said, I’m weird.) So I did an etsy pincushion search…turns out they come in all (produce) shapes and sizes.

I’m going to try to make one of these, I am a seveeeeeerrly amature sewer, so, we’ll see how this goes.
